Recharging Social Europe! – 19th European Meeting of People Experiencing Poverty (PEP 2021)

During the PEP 2021 people living in poverty will have the opportunity to express directly their experiences, concerns and recommendations in the context of a direct dialogue with policy makers and politicians at EU level.

Around 150 people from 28 countries will participate in the 2021 edition of the European Meeting of People Experiencing Poverty.

People living in poverty will concretely take part in the conference and access information relating to the EU level decision-making processes that affect their lives and well-being.

The Covid pandemic and its socio-economic consequences has affected severely people experiencing poverty.

Looking at the post-pandemic future, PEP 2021 will focus on political priorities, such as:

  1. Housing
  2. Adequate Minimum Income
  3. Good quality health care services

Digitalisation and access to services will be considered as a crosscutting issue. How has access to digital technology (access to internet, access to devices, knowledge of using technology) impacted the access to the 3 services mentioned above, as well as other services?

The meeting will take place online, combining plenary sessions with online interactive workshops and short visibility actions.
