Hegemony: Lead your Class to Victory

Coming on Kickstarter on November 9th, 2021

Hegemony: Lead your Class to Victory

Hello to all!

We are Hegemonic Project Games, a new, Cyprus-based startup that aims to connect board gaming and education and we are proud to present you:

Hegemony: Lead Your Class to Victory is a highly asymmetric euro game for up to 4 players, that simulates the economy and the political sphere of a contemporary nation. Players take up the roles of the Working Class, the Capitalist Class, the Middle Class, and the State. All of these four roles have different abilities, different goals, and different available actions making the game highly dynamic and asymmetric. Additionally, the classes do not just play independently from each other (“asymmetry” as in “everyone plays their own game”) but are highly interconnected on the board. Every decision a player takes has deep political and economic consequences for the other players which creates some very exciting and fun scenarios and provides a high educational potential.

For this purpose, the game has been designed and developed with the help of numerous academics in the fields of politics, economics, and political economy. Additionally, the game´s engine provides room for a vast range of different strategies and, hence, creates almost endless replayability value.

In the Kickstarter campaign that will be launching on the upcoming Tuesday, November 9th, backers will be able to get Hegemony at a great price and, additionally, all pledges will include Concepts: The Hegemony Educational Booklet, a useful guide that has been composed in collaboration with 3 academics of the fields of politics, economics, and the political economy that acts as a helpful tool for those who want to grasp all the basic concepts of these disciplines!

Lastly, below you can find the trailer for Hegemony: Lead Your Class to Victory, happy to welcome you all to our Kickstarter campaign very soon! You can follow the Kickstarter campaign here (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hegemony/hegemony-lead-your-class-to-victory?ref=discovery)
